Cabins for Sale in Lake Tahoe’s Al Tahoe Neighborhood

The Al Tahoe area of South Lake Tahoe has been a desired place to live since the Washoe Indians once inhabited the flat, sunny and lightly forested area on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Living in Al Tahoe gives residents easy access to picturesque Lake Tahoe, beautiful meadows to walk and hike through and close proximity to shopping and transportation.

Cabins have long been a constant variable in this nice South Lake Tahoe neighborhood.  Early residents that called Al Tahoe home constructed their homes from the logs in the area.  You can still see one of these early log homes at the local museum which is in the Al Tahoe area. Today you won’t find all Tahoe cabins for sale here a log cabin.  There are one and two story constructions as well as some lakefront condos.

Currently there are only 14 listings of homes for sale in Al Tahoe, and, depending on what your idea of a cabin is, some may not quite fit. A new private community at one end of the Al Tahoe neighborhood has listings ranging from $2,175,000 up to $12,900,000, but don’t faint yet, there are some great cabins for sale! The lowest priced home at the moment is a cute cottage with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.  It has beautiful wood throughout and just oozes charm!  Plus, its only a few blocks to the beach. It is priced to sell at $169,000.

A banked owned cabin just had a BIG price reduction of $40,000!  Pictured at the right, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is priced to sell.  The neighborhood is old Tahoe charm.

Another Tahoe cabin for sale in this Al Tahoe neighborhood is a short sale at $299,000.  It is the perfect Lake Tahoe getaway cabin with its rock fireplace, open beam ceilings and cozy master suite (pictured at the left).
