Even though the official start of construction doesn't begin until May, 2015 on the new Edgewood Tahoe Resort, the golf course is already undergoing major changes to prepare for the big project. The big local news in South Lake Tahoe over the last couple of months circled around a lawsuit filed by two Nevada residents against the LTVA (Lake Tahoe Visitor's Authority) and Pyro Spectacular, the two responsible parties for putting on our great fireworks show over the lake. Due to a lawsuit by a Zephyr Cove, Nevada resident, the annual 4th of July display of fireworks over Lake Tahoe may have been canceled. But, with a Monday meeting between the lawyers, the couple suing and the Lake Tahoe Visitor's Authority, the suit was dropped and a settlement agreement was arranged. Many Lake Tahoe visitors and locals use Kingsbury Grade (State Route 207) on a weekly basis, if not daily.
