The Hot August Nights event is back for 2012 and promises to be the best of the best for car enthusiasts and fans of past events. Hot August Nights includes two venues in 2012. The Reno-Sparks event will begin with full day activities on Tuesday, August 7th and entertainment and will conclude on Sunday, August 12th after parade of cars. The South Lake Tahoe experience will pave the way for the Reno-Sparks event and be held from August 3rd – 5th, 2012. Venues at both locations will be hosting cruises, show-n-shines, swap meets, auctions, and numerous other activities.
Hot August Nights started off in attempts to offset the slow season in Reno during the month of August. The event was aimed at helping many local charities and featured live music allowing many people in the audience relive their childhood experiences. This is a great time to visit the Reno-Tahoe area and get a chance to see all there is to offer.
Music and Entertainment
On a musical note, this year’s week-long festivity will feature many performances. Those included are; Sonny Turner (formerly of The Platters), Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, Bill Medley (formerly of The Righteous Brothers), Paul Revere & the Raiders, the Village People and more. For event times and more check out the Hot August Nights Event Schedule.
Lodging and Accommodations
Every year over 800,000 people visit both the Reno and Tahoe areas for Hot August Nights. If you are looking for lodging accommodations in the Lake Tahoe area I recommend going to lodgingatlaketahoe.com. Perhaps you are trying to explore options for restaurants to go to while you are in South Lake Tahoe? I would recommend the Sage Room in Harveys if you are looking for a steakhouse or if you are trying to find a more casual option you can head on over to Latin Soul in Lakeside Casino. If that isn’t enough for you then check out more activities, nightlife, dining, and lodging options available in the South Lake Tahoe area. Maybe you plan on getting married in one of many gorgeous settings in the area. Small-scale or extravagant, Lake Front Weddings and Events will take care of all your needs providing access to multiple locations throughout South Lake Tahoe. If you just can’t get enough of Lake Tahoe you can explore housing options for the area.
