Lake Tahoe Neighborhood Highlight: Elk Point

The Elk Point neighborhood is a gated lakefront community on the south-east shores of Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. Since this is one of the few gated communities it is very popular as well as offering old world charm mixed with the modern life.

Lake Tahoe Real Estate Sales in Elk Point

Since this is a quaint neighborhood, homes don’t come up for sale often.  So far, in 2013, there have been 3 home sales, all on the main road Lakeview Avenue.  The homes were listed for between $1,150,000 and $1,390,000. During the same period of time in 2012, there was one home sold.  There are currently 3 homes for sale in Elk Point:  A 1929 cabin and a pristine 1952 cabin.  Both of these cabins are priced well under the recent sales prices. Country Club Estates Neighborhood

The Elk Point neighborhood is also referred to as Elk Point Country Club (but there is no golf course, just fabulous lakefront, and lake view homes).

There is direct walking or driving access to a private beach. Access to the lake is unobstructed by other homes, with stunning views through pine trees of the lake and surrounding mountains. The neighborhood offers private beach access and views, private boat ramp, gated entrance, private picnic area, boat trailer parking, a yacht club, maintenance, and snow removal.

This neighborhood is located approximately 1/2 mile off Highway 50, 1 mile from Stateline casinos, shopping centers, and the Edgewood golf course. World-renowned Heavenly Valley Ski Resort is just 4 miles away. Elk Point is located next to the Round Hill and Zephyr Cove neighborhoods. Schools that serve Elk Point are Zephyr Cove Elementary and Whittell High School.  There are public beaches and parks as well as hiking and biking trails nearby.
