Private, Hidden Beach for Skyland Homeowners
Many homes are lakefront or lake view, and some even have a private boat dock and beach! The Nevada schools, Zephyr Cove Elementary School and George Whittell High School, are less than 1/2 mile away.
Skyland also has a GID (General Improvement District) made up of elected homeowners and funded by ad valorem taxes collected by Douglas County. The GID's purpose is to govern paving, snow plowing, maintenance of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm runoff, and the fence along highway 50.
