Buying and Selling a Lakefront Home
With lakefront homes on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe starting at about $3,000,000 (condos will be less), its not for everyone that is looking to buy a home in Lake Tahoe. Buyers wanting to buy a lakefront home need to have a knowledgeable Realtor that understands the specialized lakefront market. There is a small segment of home buyers that are attracted to lakefront homes so property owners find that it takes unique marketing and dedication on the side of the Realtor.
I have represented both buyers and sellers of Lake Tahoe lakefront homes. It is a very specialized market that requires knowledge of everything from piers, buoys to waterfront rights, etc.
Elk Point Neighborhood of Lake Tahoe
Elk Point Country Club is a gated area in between Nevada State Beach and Round Hill Pines Resort. Mixed in this neighborhood are large modern homes, classic Lake Tahoe cabins and homes, like this one, that use the elements of nature to blend in. At some point in the future there will be a Stateline to Stateline bike trail (from the north end of the lake to the south end). This trail runs along the edge of the neighborhood which makes for easy access to all surrounding hiking and biking paths. The annual fireworks displays are right off the shore of Elk Point.
It is very rare that a home comes up for sale in Elk Point as there aren’t many homes located here as well as the fact that homes stay in families for generations.
